1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Authentication Data

• Email address and password (if you register directly).
• OAuth profile data (name, email, avatar) when you sign in with Google or LinkedIn.
• Supabase authentication identifiers, session tokens, and metadata required to maintain secure access.

1.2 Portfolio Content

• Information you provide while building your portfolio, such as name, biography, experience history, skills, education, and uploaded media.
• Resume files and extracted content that you submit for parsing. We retain the original PDF along with parsed text (raw and structured) to help build your portfolio and support debugging.

1.3 Usage Data

• Logs of authentication events, portfolio builds, and analytics actions.
• Browser cookies and local storage indicators (e.g., Supabase session cookies, mc_username, mc_has_portfolio).
• Limited request metadata (IP address, user agent) captured by our hosting provider for security and rate limiting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to authenticate you, generate and store your portfolio content, deliver transactional emails, provide analytics dashboards, monitor system health, and improve the service. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

3. Service Providers and Integrations

We rely on trusted vendors to operate our platform:

• Supabase for authentication, database storage, and file storage.
• Resend for transactional email delivery.
• OpenAI for resume parsing and content generation based on your inputs.
• Google and LinkedIn for OAuth sign-in (optional).
• Razorpay and other payment processors for processing payments, handling subscriptions, and managing billing-related transactions.

These providers process your data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies. We may share transaction-related information with banks, financial institutions, or law-enforcement agencies when required for compliance, fraud prevention, or regulatory obligations.

3A. Payments, Billing & Subscriptions

• Payments are processed through Razorpay and other third-party payment processors.
• Transaction data (such as name, email, phone number, payment amount, and timestamps) is shared with Razorpay for verification and processing.
• Credit and debit card details are never stored on MartianCrown's servers.
• Recurring subscriptions may require Razorpay to securely store payment methods for automatic renewals.
• Users may cancel subscriptions at any time, and further billing stops immediately after cancellation.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in across tabs, remember your portfolio slug, and enforce security features. You can clear cookies at any time, but some features may stop working until you sign in again.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Portfolio content, including resumes, remains stored until you remove it or close your account. Logs and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months unless required longer for legal or security reasons. Transaction records may be retained for up to 57 years as required for financial compliance.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access or update your account details via the dashboard.
• Export or delete your portfolio content by contacting admin@martiancrown.com.
• Revoke OAuth access through your Google or LinkedIn account settings.
• Opt out of non-essential communications by replying to any email or contacting us directly.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including secure authentication, encrypted connections, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

MartianCrown is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be announced via the dashboard or email. Continued use of MartianCrown after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
